dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes the link between the development model and the occupational structure in Sonora between 1900 and 1960, in order to understand the nature and pace of industrialization in this state. Using available statistical sources, we review the sectors which give dynamism to the economy, and analyze the industrial sector's structure and labor force. We argue that the move towards a development model based on commercial agriculture provoked some deindustrialization, as well as severe regional inequalities.en-US
dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se analiza la conexión entre el modelo de desarrollo y la estructura ocupacional en Sonora, entre 1900 y 1960, con el objetivo de entender el ritmo y la naturaleza de la industrialización en esta entidad. Con base en las fuentes estadísticas disponibles, se revisan los sectores que confieren dinamismo a la economía así como la composición y fuerza de trabajo del sector industrial. Se argumenta que el paso al modelo de crecimiento centrado en la agricultura comercial implicó una cierta desindustrialización, así como desequilibrios regionales graves.es-ES
