Item Burnout Syndrome. The objective of this research is to determine the prevalence of SB among the medical, paramedical and administrative personnel who work in Public Health System of the State of Guanajuato hospitals. The study’s methodology is exploratory, descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational. The Maslach Burnout Inventory instrument was used. The results show that medical personnel present level 44% in emotional exhaustion, 7.1% in depersonalization and 7.1% low in personal fulfillment. From the paramedical branch, it was identified that 36.4% present in emotional exhaustion; 22.7% in depersonalization, and 54.5% low in personal fulfillment. In the study 135 workers participated. The existence of the syndrome is concluded in 9.1% of the participants; it is suggested to implement a preventive and corrective program, valid to avoid or delay its manifestations.
