Industria y territorio rural: la constitución de un corredor agropecuario e industrial en el estado de Querétaro

Abstract

Ezequiel Montes and Cadereyta are two municipalities characterized by a vigorous primary sector which have, therefore, become a reference point for the analysis of territorial processes within the state of Queretaro. The presence of agricultural capital invested in highly technified farms for food production located within their rural territories have lead to their recognition as a favorable environment for the production of poultry, as well as in the municipalities of Colón and Tequisquiapan. These four municipalities have thus configured an agroindustrial corridor which has attracted food processing and assembly plants, among others, and is part of the Querétaro's current organization, particularly in the face of the capital's industrial decentralization. The purpose of this article is to point out the ongoing configuration of an economic corridor distinct from those constituted by industrial parks and located outside the national economic corridors.

Los municipios de Ezequiel Montes y Cadereyta se han vuelto un punto de referencia en el análisis de los procesos territoriales de Querétaro, pues han constituido un lugar de actividad primaria vigorosa. Capitales agroalimentarios los han reconocido como un ámbito favorable para la producción avícola, y han invertido en granjas muy tecnificadas en sus territorios rurales, así como en sus vecinos Colón y Tequisquiapan. Estos cuatro municipios han configurado un corredor agroindustrial que ha atraído a maquiladoras y procesadoras de alimentos, entre otras, y es parte de la organización actual del estado, sobre todo ante la desconcentración industrial de la ciudad capital. El objetivo del artículo es destacar la configuración paulatina de un corredor económico distinto a los constituidos por parques industriales y localizado fuera de los corredores nacionales.
